Public Notice: Confirmation of Dates and Location

Following a thorough review of forest fire and air quality risks with Public Safety and Public Health professionals, the Cree Nation of Chisasibi and the Eeyou Istchee Summer Games Steering Committee would like to assure the public that the Eeyou Istchee Summer Games remain scheduled for July 20-25 in Chisasibi.

We would like to thank the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay, Cree Nation Government, SOPFEU, and SDBJ for their continued expertise and guidance as we prepare for this exciting athletic event.

We will continue to diligently monitor air quality and fire risks, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants before and during the event. Should the situation change, updates will be sent to local Chef de Missions. Information will also be shared on the official Eeyou Istchee Summer Games channels (creegames.ca and facebook.com/creegames) and on JBCCS regional radio. Please refer to these channels for the latest verified information.
