ABOUT
The Eeyou Istchee Summer Games is a collaboration between many partners within Eeyou Istchee to gather communities to celebrate culture, tradition and language through sport.

The Eeyou Istchee Summer Games (EISG) is a regional, multi-sport athletic festival that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Eeyou Istchee. It is intended to strengthen unity among Cree communities and promote excellence through sports.
Following the EISG's successful return in 2024, the next Sumer Games have been scheduled for July 20-25, 2026 in Chisasibi. This event will feature over 40 athletic events for youth aged 9 to 18, including track and field, individual and team events, aquatics, and canoeing. A lineup of cultural celebrations, workshops, and traditional Cree games will be woven throughout the games, immersing youth in a vibrant, supportive, and culturally rich environment.
This event is proudly organized by the Eeyou Istchee Sports and Recreation Association in partnership with Cree Nation Government, Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay, Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association, Cree School Board, Cree Nation Youth Council, Board of Compensation, and Creeco. Special thanks to the Cree Nation of Chisasibi for hosting this year's Games, and to all the sponsors who make this event possible!
